CoMo

Last night I went to see Coltrane Motion play in Williamsburg. I wasn't sure if I was going to go or not since it was a weekday and they weren't going on till 11:30pm, but in the end I decided to go and support my friends band.
And I happened to mention that I was going to this show to my cousin who is in town for spring break with his girlfriend and then headed over to Brooklyn to hang out and catch some of the show. It was my first visitor since moving up here and nice to get to see my cousin. I hadn't seen him in awhile and I had never met his girlfriend before either. They have been together for quite some time and I have heard a lot about her, but I had never met her. I approve by the way; she is super nice and easy to talk to and get along with.
The place where CoMo played was pretty empty, which I wasn't really expecting. I thought there would be a lot more people, but I guess you can't expect too much on a Wednesday night. And CoMo wasn't so bad either. I was expecting to not be drunk and think they didn't sound so good, but instead I wasn't drunk and thought they sounded good. I would say it is one of the best I have seen them play so far.
I went to a concert; there is no baby on the way to also enjoy the music.

New Apartment

As most of you know I found an apartment for Ando and I to live in, which he has not seen yet, and I got to move all of my belongings there on Sunday. When I say all of my belongings it doesn't include much. I will admit that I have accumulated more over the past five months than I thought was possible.BH, DKNY, Mateo and Coriander all agreed to help me move on Sunday morning to the new digs. It was only a three block walk, but we all had to load up with everything so the three blocks seemed a lot farther. I wasn't even sure we would be able to make it in one trip, but with a little force and muscle we made it. It was the longest and shortest move I will probably ever have. Thanks to everyone for helping me.After the move we all headed out for some brunch; it wasn't like I needed to put a whole bunch of things away. Mateo couldn't really move his arms much, from all the weight he had to carry, but he still managed to eat something with the rest of us.The new apartment is nice, but it is also a little sad since there is nothing here. I am sitting on the floor to do all of my interneting, at least I found some free unsecured wi-fi, and I am just sleeping on an air mattress.I do have some dishes and nice plastic flatware to eat some minimal food items. I can't cook anything in a pot or pan as of yet, but if it can go in the microwave or over, without a pan of course, then I am GTG (good to go). Hopefully Ando will be bringing me a bean bag chair when he comes up later this week and of course I will have Murph. Everything will be a little better with Murph around.Once Murph is up and out of the way of Cincinnati packing, and not getting too freaked out, Ando will be up with the rest of our furniture for good. We figure it will be less traumatic for Murph to be moved from a normal situation 11 hours away than have to realize everything is being packed up and he has no idea what is going on. He didn't do so well when I moved him from my apartment to the house last time. Wish Ando luck on the 11 hour car ride with a cat!
I am guessing he will be fine though and it will be better than flying. Murph is the best cat ever and he probably won't even realize anything is up till Ando is already 4 to 6 hours into the drive.
I hope you enjoy all of the apartment pictures and the last one is the awesome dinner ware I got as a shower gift that we delivered to New York. Thank goodness I have something to eat off of!

I moved into our new apartment; no baby furniture needed to be moved as well.

The Flurry that was February

Ok, I know that I am way, way, way behind on blogging so I am going to catch up by putting February into one month, minus the Super Bowl I guess, since that was on the first of the month. February went be in a flash. I started looking for an apartment for Ando and I in NYC and I didn't realize quite how hard it was going to be. Brokers do nothing for you here, but you still have to pay them. I spent many a night looking at apartment after apartment to find just the right place. About 23 or so apartments later, I lost track, I finally found the right one.

When I wasn't out looking for apartments I was probably out and about. Mateo and I go watch Xavier games together after work; which is when I had the worst wings ever! They were gross and not even worth the $.35 they were since it was wing night. I have never had such an awful wing in my life. I also met up the P portion of A'nP. He was in town for the night for work and I convinced some people to come out with me to drink some beers and hang out.

And finally when I wasn't doing all of those things I was in Cincinnati. I went back to Cincinnati two weekends in a row to prepare for the wedding. It is almost finished and I think most of the church related "chores" are out of the way. The first weekend back I had to showers, a lot in one weekend I found out, took my dress in to be altered, got a test hair-do for the wedding and met with our priest. The second weekend, when I commuted to New York, was pretty much all church related.

Ando and I went to Pre Cana all day on Saturday. I couldn't believe how many couples go to Pre Cana, 120 at our all day event with the youngest couple being 17. We got to sit through some amazing classes, sexuality and intimacy and natural family planning just to name a few. And then on Sunday Ando and I went to church before meeting with our priest. Church was a "different" experience. Everyone gets up and does the sign of peace to everyone else in the whole church. You don't just limit yourself to who you are sitting around. And then after the Our Father Ando and I got some hand sanitizer from a parishioner. I was so funny to me that I was using hand sanitizer in the middle of church.

As you can tell I was a very eventful February to say the least. I hope you enjoy all of the pictures; sorry there aren't any from church.
The worst wings I have ever eaten, ever!
Does anyone see any sauce on those wings? Yeah, me either.
Bridal shower number one with Ando's family.
I do love my champagne.
And Doritos; ED got me 4 bags off the registry.
Luckily the unicorns were not a gift, but I need to get my picture taken with them.
The making of the ribbon bouquet.
More party time fun.
Shower number two with my side of the family. This is me talking to my soon to be mother-in-law.
Who doesn't love a good blender.
I was trying my hardest not to break this ribbon, but I couldn't do it. It was the only ribbon I broke all weekend.
Me and my sis.
More Doritos!
Man people really took those Doritos seriously, good thing they were all different flavors.
The beautiful cupcake/favor centerpiece my sis made.
Giving Murph some treats; I miss him.
Up close of Murph getting a treat.

I broke a ribbon which means I am supposed to have one child; one isn't on the way any time soon.
