NY Update

Just a quick update. I am in NYC safe and sound. There was only a small amount of crying involved and I will let you know more soon. I should start the new job before I write anything too huge. Plus I don't have any pictures to share. Thanks to CB Radio and Goose for letting me stay with them till I find something a little more permanent.

No Ando to accompany me in my travels; and no baby on the way to keep me company either.

P.S. New poll up as well!

Bye Cincinnati

Once again I am going to put up mostly pictures of everything that has recently happened. Enjoy!
This week I did a lot of yard work to try and get the house ready to sell. I want to make sure there is curb appeal.
I hope potential buyers like the fountain! It will be on when there is a showing, don't worry.

On Thursday Jenster, Ando and I went downtown to the Holistic Health Center (or something like that) for Midpoint. Co-Mo was playing and Wint and Wendell came down as well. What an entrance to the venue hey.

Co-Mo playing. And it's all arty in black and white.

This guy was at the show; clearly he doesn't fit the normal crowd Co-Mo pulls. The only thing that would make his outfit better would be a popped collar. Please note the ankle bracelets as well. Sorry, I didn't get a picture of "Tall Joel" to get in Teed.

Another shot of Co-Mo playing.

Jenster and Teed playing football in the backseat on the way home from Midpoint.

Friday night was low key since Saturday was going to be a roaring good time. Jenster, Ando, Teed and I made some churros. Fried dough with cinnamon sugar is never bad.

Teed in his all blue outfit. Sorry I didn't turn the picture I didn't have the time.

Jenster in her sexy librarian outfit she got from an old co-worker for getting her promotion. I think she was 7 feet tall in those heels.

My send off night was Saturday. The whole Cincinnati gang came out to see me off or should I say drink me off. We went to NST and got some Melt down the street.

Ed starts the night off with putting the glasses on first. This is what happens when you have too much to drink.

Jenster puts the glasses on.

Mo's turn!

DT is the first to see what they look like on a guy.

Ando joins in and seems to look a little like Elton John.

It was finally my turn to put my own glasses on.

Just some random fun at NST.

Some volcano tacos ahead of schedule. They were a little spicier than Teed, Mo and Ando made them out to be.

BFF's, oh wait Teed and Jenster are BFF's. So, just Jenster and I at the Hut later that night.

Ping Pong at the Hut. Ed was ready to join the Olympic Team.

The porch ceiling before the slats went up. You can see the new insulation though.

Finished porch ceiling, or almost finished. The only thing left to be done is the molding and to hang the porch swing. It took from 12 to 8 to hang the whole thing on Sunday.

I need to come back for a porch ceiling party. Only two people will be allowed to sit on the swing at one time; I don't want to redo the ceiling again.

I have been working non-stop trying to get the house ready to sell; no baby working me even harder.

Gettin' Ready

So I really have had absolutely no time to write a blog lately. I am busy trying to get the house ready to sell and of course we were without power for three days which didn't help. I still feel like I don't have time to be writing this blog so I am going to make it a picture blog with a couple of captions. Teed's dream come true!

We all had a fun time at Applebee's with Alice. It was her first trip out to a restaurant! Oh, and the reason we went was because Mo and I had gift cards we needed to use. I do love a good fru fru drink!
This is Taca being fed in the dark since we had no electricity for 3 days. Teed and Mo say she loves looking at light, but unfortunately for her there was none around. Ando, Jenster and I grilled up some shrimp and sausages on Monday to get rid of our thawing out food and on Tuesday Teed had us all over to eat some of his thawing meat. We finally got power back on Wednesday early in the morning; it went out on Sunday afternoon, ughhh! Thank goodness our power has been restored, some still don't have electricity.

On Wednesday I went to the Reds game. It was my first night with electricity and I spent it away from my house. But the tickets were free and in the first row on the third base side. We sat right next to the ball boy and made friends with him. Well really just acquaintances for the night. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera out when two dudes came running down our aisle and hopped the fence out onto the field. They almost made it over the right field fence before finally being caught. Tight security at the Reds Games I found out!
I know this is a fuzzy picture, but you can kind of get the idea. On Thursday my cars Odometer hit 77777 miles so I had to take a picture. I was driving and trying to take a picture at the same time so this is the best I got. If anyone wants to buy my car it is for sale; just let me know. Please someone buy my car!

Friday was my last day of work at West Chester. This is a picture of some old co-workers that I went to lunch with. It was a pretty uneventful day since my boss was out of town, my co-worker worked that night, the secretary only works half a day and the PIO, public Information officer took the day off. I did have a "drink" at lunch since it was my last day; what could they do fire me. The pictures that follow are me at a work on my final night of shooting a sporting event. Thanks to Macho Max for the pictures.

Directing a football game and trying to run a replay all at the same time. And no neither one of those Cokes are mine.
My final cable reel wind up.
Programming the game to play back on air in master control.

Saturday was Ando's cousin's wedding. The ceremony was in OTR and the reception was at Kolping Center. These are some pictures of the fun times had by all. And yes it was an open bar.

J and D dancing.

Cousin table 1.

Some non dancing on the dance floor.

Ando hating every minute of me hanging on him.

BH and DKNY dancin' it up.

The end of the night. At least the end of the wedding. I have no pictures of the after party and all the Keystone Lights that were had. Keystone Light should be enough of a clue as to how the rest of the night went.
Sunday Jenster, Ando and I went to Oktoberfest after the Bengals game. It wasn't quite as crowded as I was expecting and we had some good food. Here is Ando eating a sausage of course.
Here is Jenster eating a pastry of course.
Ando and I waiting for Jenster to come out of the bathroom. Also when I went to get money out of the ATM the security guard told me I "was a very beautiful lady". It was a little awkward getting money out after that. And then later some guy passes me and said hey and gave me a high five type thing. They were both very bizarre moments for me.

I am so busy and lazy that I am doing a mostly picture blog; no bun in the oven to make me even busier.

No Power

Just to let everyone know I am still without power so look for my next blog in a couple of days. Or if I have the time tomorrow at Work; we have power there.

The power is out; no baby to make the time go by.

Big News!

Well I had quite a last week! A lot has happened since I last wrote a blog so I may be skimming over some little things that happened.

As you all know I went to New York with Ando at the last minute. I originally wasn't planning on going, but I got a job interview at the last minute and headed up to NY with Ando and Mateo. Mateo was moving and Ando was planning on helping him so I just tagged along for the ride. My interview wasn't till Tuesday so I had all weekend to have fun, and of course freak out over an interview.

The drive up on Friday wasn't so bad till we hit traffic going through the Holland Tunnel. This is not the way I wanted to get into New York, but needless to say it was the way we went. Once we made it in and got settled at DKNY and BH's we ate some dinner around their neighborhood. Then we met up with CB Radio, Goose, Joel, and Ice at a bar.

Saturday was the day we needed to take everything out of the van and move it into Mateo and Coriander's new place. Coriander was coming up from Pennsylvania with a U-Haul that afternoon as well. What cold make moving a little better than some beer before hand? I say nothing, and that is why we went the the Brooklyn Brewery for a tour and some brews before we had to move Mateo later that afternoon. The brewery is pretty small, but you can get some different brews and they aren't that expensive while also learning about how beer is made.

After moving Mateo and Coriander, in the heat, we picked up some carry out for dinner. Then DKNY, Ando and I met up with the NY gang at another bar to hang out and catch up. Nothing too exciting happened that I can remember so lets just move on to Sunday.

Sunday was a pretty lazy morning just walking around Greenpoint and running a couple of errands. Mostly of the kind DKNY and BH had to do. We did go to the grocery store and pick up some supplies for a pick-nick later that night. We all decided to meet up and have a pick-nick at the park for dinner. There were also some park type games played like frisbee, croquet, and football. We got kicked out of the park at dusk and didn't know where to go so we just hung out at Living in Sin Part II's place for the rest of the night.

Monday I wanted to do a dry run of my subway route as well as make sure where I was going for my interview on Tuesday. I wanted to make sure I left myself plenty of time to get into Manhattan and I wouldn't get lost on the actual day of my interview. Ando, Mateo, and Coriander came along with me for the ride. Since we were in Manhattan we decided to walk down to Madison Square Park and watch some of the U.S. Open live at the park. We were also going to get some Shake Shack, but the line was ridiculously long so we headed to a Mr. Softee Truck instead.

After watching a little tennis, I should have brought my bikini with me, we headed back to Brooklyn to meet back up with BH and DKNY. We just had some dinner that night and Ando and I met up with CB Radio and Goose for a few drinks. I didn't want to stay out late since I had my interview the next day. There was motorcycle, crotch rocket style, racing being shown on the big screen at the bar. I had no idea there was such a following, but apparently there is.

Tuesday was the big day, my interview. Ando left on his flight home that morning and my interview wasn't till 2 that afternoon. I hung out at the apartment by myself, actually DKNY was sick and sleeping in his bedroom, doing some preparing for the big interview. I made it to the interview with plenty of time left so I sat in Bryant Park for a little bit till it was time for me to go.

The interview went well and was very laid back. CB Radio was also in on the interview which made it a little easier. I got offered the job that day, but I didn't take it on the spot. Ando and I had some stuff to talk about and I didn't want to make any rash decisions. I flew home that night after the interview. On my way home I started feeling sick. I think I was stressed from the interview and DKNY was sick so it just transfered to me.

Ando picked me up from the Dayton airport that night, what a guy, and we discussed us moving to New York. No decisions came out that night, but we did get some good conversations in on the long ride home. We also talked about it some more the next day. Needless to say it was a very very hard decision for us to make. In the end I decided to take the job! We are moving to NYC.

This is something we have wanted to do and the opportunity came up. I will start the job on October 1st so I will be moving sometime around then. I am hoping to stay with CB Radio and Goose or one of Ando's brothers for a week till I find a sublet for myself. Ando isn't coming up till after he finishes the semester at Xavier. Then we will find a place for us to live and Ando will have to find a job.

This is both nerve racking and exciting at the same time. I hope everything works out in the end, I'm sure it will, it always does right? I have a lot to try and accomplish in a month before leaving Ando and a house, like sell a car, make some more wedding plans, and many other tasks. I do feel bad for leaving Ando and making him try to sell a house in this market. My only hope is that I can get a bunch of stuff we don't need packed up and get most things looking good to put the house up on the market before I leave. I am sure it will hit me harder that I am moving to a new city in a couple of weeks.

I am moving to a new city; no baby to bring along as well.
