Big Scare

Well I haven't written in awhile because I don't have any pictures to share with you. I think most people come by for the pictures and not the text. It has also been a busy time for me.

Friday I did a bunch of shopping because I needed to find a dress for Ando's cousin's wedding. I was starting to get frustrated and realizing why I never go dress shopping when I finally found a cute little number at White House|Black Market. After this fun outing I am not sure I'm going to enjoy wedding dress shopping or not. Finding a dress that fits me right and doesn't cut me in half with a pattern or seam is so hard. I will let you know how wedding dress shopping goes; I am planning on going July 18th.

Friday night was dinner with CV since she was in town for a little bit. We decided to try a new place, well at least new for us, Hyde Park Tavern. It was good, but you have to go in knowing that you are primarily there to drink and eating comes second. Ando and I did see one of his cousins working there. It was his first night on the job and our first time ever there, what are the chances. After dinner it was prime fox time so down to Newport it was. We had a couple of drinks there, but didn't stay out too late since CV had to get up early the next day for her flight back to Florida.

Saturday morning is when I found something scary. I noticed a lump; yep, that kind of lump. Of course it was a Saturday so there was nothing I could do about it. I decided I was going to try and ignore it till Monday when I could call the doctor. I also made Ando feel it to make sure I wasn't imagining things, but he felt it too. That night I went to work and when I was finished headed to Jenster's porch for some QT with Ando, Jenster, Teed and Taca. You wouldn't believe how many times I have now held Taca and I even fed and burped her on Saturday. I am making huge strides, who knows that tag line may be closer than you think.

I played my last soccer game for awhile on Sunday. I almost forgot my game again this week, but remembered at the last minute. I am going to take at least one session off because I just don't have much time and I don't feel like fitting soccer into my schedule every Sunday while it is so nice out all the time. Our team lost and once again I felt like I didn't know half the team. We keep losing players and getting new ones so there is no semblance of order on the team. It starts to wear on you when you have to try and get to know your teammates every week. No wonder why we lose so much.

That night Jenster, Ando and I headed to the Greek Festival where we met Ando's parents. We had some good food and of course beer on the 'rents. We didn't have any gyro's though; the line was ridiculously long and not worth waiting in.

Monday finally came and I called the doctor first thing to make an appointment. I got in that afternoon. I didn't get to see my regular doctor, but I didn't care I just wanted to get in a find out what was going on. Sure enough they also felt the lump, which she said I was good at detecting. I thought it was pretty big and easy to notice, but whatever. She decided to take a sample, by putting a needle into my breast and extracting some cells, to send off to the lab. I still have a bruise from the "procedure"; I just hope it goes away by Sunday when I need to put a bikini on at the beach; and don't think you will be getting any bikini pictures on the blog. Right back to the doctor; I now had to wait a couple of days till the lab results came back.

I am guessing you want the results, but I had to wait for them so why not you too. Monday night I went running after the doctor. And Ando brought home some flowers for me, what a guy!

Tuesday of course was work and then Jenster and I went to the pool for a little lap swimming. I rode my bike up to Jenster's house for a little more exercise, and I didn't want to waste the gas with prices the way they are. We both had our $10 ready so the mean man would yell at us for not having exact change this year; I really don't think he likes his job very much. After buying our tokens, without much grumpiness I might add, we started our swim. The lap lane was already in too, rare!

It is now Wednesday, no test results yet. I was extremely busy at work trying to get everything together before leaving for another vacation. And then I got the call from the doctor in the afternoon. The test results showed that it was just a blocked duct and nothing to worry about. They are just going to make sure it doesn't get any bigger at my annual check up and keep an eye on it. If it does start to bother me then they can do something about it, but who really wants surgery when they don't have to, not me. So I am fine and there is no need to worry.

Sorry there aren't any pictures with this blog I will try to do better this weekend and get one last blog in before leaving for yet another vacation.

I ate a lot of over-priced greek food, but not enough for two.
