Dinner Adventure

I have decided I made it a month and blogged everyday. It is now time for Ando to get me whatever I want. Should I go with the XBox 360 or a digital SLR camera? I will let you know which one I have chosen and your suggestions are always welcome.

I was off work yesterday so I could work on Saturday. I was originally going to work from 10 to noon because I had to go to a Blue Chip meeting, but my boss told me I didn't need to go and I could have the whole day off. I had to go to my parents one last time to check on the cats in the morning. After my rents house I went to Old Navy where I was going to take back a pair of jeans and buy two more. Last time I was there they were having a 2 for sale. I didn't have such luck this time around. There was no sale so I didn't return the jeans. I then headed to Target to take back another pair of jeans I had bought. While I was there I also bought some household essentials. Oh, and some mice for Murphy. He has worn out his other mice. When I was finished at Target I headed to Meijer to pick up a few things for my family's Super Bowl party on Sunday. I bought myself some flowers too. I can't wait for Ando to buy them for me, I have to do it myself. I saw the flowers right when I walked in and decided I wanted a little spring in the house so I bought them. I also got my mom a gift card for her birthday, which was the 1st. Happy Birthday Mom!

I came home and started putting away all the groceries when I noticed a bag filled with two items I didn't purchase, tortilla chips and stir fry sauce. I didn't know whether I should take them back to Meijer since I didn't pay for them or just keep them. Ando told me I won the lottery and I should just keep them. Is this stealing? Someone else paid for them I just happened to be the lucky one to take the items home. It is strange too because those are two items we would actually buy.

After putting all the groceries away I started cleaning the house. Our neighbors were coming over before we all went out to dinner so I needed to make a good impression. It wasn't too messy though. The neighbors, N² & Evian, came over for some hummus and veggies before heading off to dinner at Chalk Food + Wine. I made reservations the night before for 8:30pm. When we got to Chalk it was crowded and the hostess told us they were running a little behind on reservations and it would be a little bit. She told us we could have a drink at the bar while we were waiting, but the problem was you couldn't get to the bar there were too many people. After about 20 minutes of waiting we decided to go ask how long it would be before we were seated and in the background we heard a guy say they had 7:30 reservations and they still hadn't been sat. Not a good sign. We asked anyway how long it would be and the hostess said she wasn't allowed to give a time, but there were still 4 people ahead of us waiting to be seated. Needless to say we left. We didn't even tell them we were leaving, but I have a feeling they were grateful. I don't know what the point of the reservation was; they should just not take any.

We decided to go to Shanghai Mama's downtown instead. Unbelievably it was crowded downtown and we couldn't find a place to park. Now we moved to plan C. Back toward our houses and Baba for dinner. By this point we were starving and just wanted some food. We were so late we closed the place down. Dinner was good as always and N² & Evian were a good dinner date. All in all it turned out to be a fun evening meeting and hanging out with our new neighbors.
Ando and I then met up with Jenster to head for the bar and a couple of drinks. Teed met us at our favorite winter hang out, Molly Malone's. For some reason we only go there in the winter. There were a bunch of rowdy drunk dudes singing along with the Irish band. They knew every Irish song and where to chime in with their own fun little parts. At one point they were yelling "Fuck You" and there was a little kid in the bar. Anything goes when you are drunk though. We made it home around 2am and I went straight to bed because I had to get up in the morn.

I won with free tortilla chips and sauce, Ando didn't help me win a ring.

I'm with jenster....definitely the camera. Glad you went out with the new neighbors. I'm sure they weren't nearly as entertaining as us.
