Soup Kitchen

Yipee! I got to go to work in the morning yesterday. I think it has been about a week and a half since that last happened. I got together the Blue Chip entries which are due on Friday. The day was pretty busy and flew by quickly. It could have been because I wasn't used to working during the day or that I was so busy.

After work I sat in traffic on the way to my parents. There were two broken down cars at two different times in two different lanes. When it rains it pours. I checked on the cats and came to the conclusion someone had been there the day before. I am betting it was my brother. Here are the pictures of my parents basement that I promised you. I think it almost looks worse in the pictures than in real life. Please don't ever let me get like this.

When I got home I made dinner for Ando and I, even though it was my first night off. It was nice to have a home cooked meal. There was more knitting on the couch and GH watching on Soap Net.

Ando bought me a............Plecostomus for the fish tank, not a ring.

Meow!

Murphy is sitting with me today blogging. I asked if he had anything to add and he says "meow and pprrrrr". When I got up yesterday morning Ando was still in the shower. He went into work late because he had to work later than normal. He now goes to work later on Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's. I am not used to him being home when I get up in the morning. I spent most of the morning knitting some more of my bag. And I decided to time how long it took me to knit a single row. I made myself seem a lot faster than I am yesterday. It really takes me about 15 minutes to knit one row. At this rate the bag will be finished next winter. I gave you some pictures so you can see my progress so far.

I went to work; I didn't have to go to my parents house yesterday. Once again it was more basketball and PB&J, as I had suspected, for dinner. Thank goodness basketball season is almost over. The weather was crappy when we went to tear down last night too, I love that!

When I arrived home Ando was on the phone with Teed so he didn't even say hi to me. I went back to the old standby, knitting. I was so late getting home from work though that I only got two rows in before heading to bed and my nightly reading. "Life of Pi" is almost finished. I am like that, when I pick up a book I almost feel like I have to finish it.

Ando said he missed me last night, he could have showed how much with a ring.

Knitting

I feel like all I have been doing lately is knitting and knitting and knitting. Yesterday I spent most of my morning knitting some more of my awesome bag that I hope turns out.

I had to go to my parents house before heading to work. They are out of town on a cruise so I am in charge of taking care of the cats. This is what happens when you are the most responsible child. You just get more and more responsibilities piled up on you. I went to the basement to find something for lunch and for some reason was even more amazed at how much crap, and by crap I mean food, is down there than normal. I have to go back on Wednesday, I am going to take a picture of all the food down in the basement for you to marvel at. I don't even want to know how much is expired and bad. And by the way I ended up eating Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup.

I went to work at my normal time, 1:30. I am getting sick of working at night all the time. I need some day shifts before I go totally insane. I shot In-Line Hockey at Skatetown USA. There was a birthday party or something going on on the regular rink side. I wish I could have joined them even though I am not a particularly good skater. It would have been more fun than work. Once again I had PB&J for dinner which I should be having tonight as well. I will let you know for sure if this occurred tomorrow. I am sick of eating PB&J for dinner so many nights in a row. I just want to eat a normal home cooked meal at home one night during the week.

When I got home I did some more knitting. I feel like I am making very little progress, but I guess that happens when one row is 103 stitches long. It takes me 5 to 10 minutes ( I have not officially timed this) to knit one row. This bag is going to take me some time to finish.

Ando tried to pick a fight with me, he didn't give me a ring to make up for it.

Exercise

My Sunday started off a little early for me on a Sunday. I had to set my alarm to make sure I would get up on time for my soccer game. Yes, it is another season of indoor soccer. Sunday was our first game of the season. I am not very good, but hey it is a different form of exercise. This session started off better already too. We actually tied our game, 4 to 4. The last couple of sessions we only won 1 or 2 games and tied 1 or 2. I am quite happy with a tie in our first game.

After soccer I came home and finished watching the Xavier Basketball game. They tried to give the game away in the final minutes, but I guess the other team didn't want the "W" either. X ended up winning in the end by a larger final score than it really was. The game was much closer than the score would have you believe.

Jenster and I then went running at Sharon Woods for a bit of outside exercise. The park was more crowded than I thought it would be since the temperature was only in the 30's. Our run was good; we did about 4 miles with the added back trail loop. The waterfall was mostly frozen and quite pretty. I should start bringing my camera everywhere so you can see what I am talking about all the time.

After our run Jenster dropped me off and I started a new knitting project. I am trying to knit a bag that I could either use out or just put all of my knitting supplies in. I was getting quite frustrated and even asked Ando how to do extra cast-on's after you had already knit a row. I just couldn't figure it out even with instructions sitting in front of me. He tried a half-hearted attempt and then gave up. I finally had a break through and figure out how to cast-on more stitches after already knitting. The bag is supposed to be a striped pattern with a different color yarn every six rows. I am not a good enough knitter to do such a thing so I had to start over after my feeble attempt. I couldn't figure out how to use the first color yarn again since it was on the wrong side of the needle. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong I am open to advice and instructions.

Ando and I ate an early dinner because he had to go to band practice in Indiana. I spent the rest of the night on the couch knitting with bad TV in the background.

Ando made dinner for me, no vino or ring.

The Hut Part II

I am blogging so late today because I was waiting for Ando to get off the upstairs computer. I like blogging upstairs instead of on the laptop and now I have the option of putting a picture in my post.

Saturday morning felt like a Friday morning for me. Ando left early to go work for the SPCA and I had to work at night. I was really pretty lazy in the morning just sitting around watching TV and not much else.

I went to work in the afternoon to shoot a basketball game. I felt like the games took forever, but really they were pretty short. I just didn't want to be there so they felt longer than they really were.

I came home and Ando, Jenster, and I decided to go to The Hut for some drinks. We didn't know where else to go and if we go to The Hut we have a chance of seeing some people we know. It was an odd night at The Hut though. Usually we are some of the oldest people in the bar, but last night we were some of the younger people in the bar. There was a party going on for some girl named Jennifer and her 30th birthday. The Hut was a lot more crowed early on and it was hard for us to get seats at the bar even though we were there pretty early. But we still managed to find three together.

We saw lots of people we knew and even people who were also at The Hut the night before like us. Mo's cousin and his wife, Rando's brother, Rando, Pablo, Lambic, Ben WaBall, and Poofy Hair were some of the people we saw at The Hut. It was another night of saddling up to the bar and staying there till 1:30am. For some reason that seems to be our magic time for leaving. Ando, Jenster and I did a good job at keeping conversation alive as well. There weren't many lulls in the convo. There was no Whitey's stop on this night, much to Ando's disappointment. I did have an egg over easy with some toast when I got home and Ando had some scrambled eggs. Night Night!

Jenster seems to have down the proposal, now if only Ando could get it, still nothing to report.

The Hut

Another day another night shoot. This one was even later than my normal night shoots so I didn't have to be at work until 4:00. The morning was spent doing one last load of laundry and knitting myself a new hat since I lost the one I made myself last year. This one does not have ear flaps.

My shoot at work didn't start until 9:30 at night which means we didn't have to leave the office till 7:00. I was going to digitize some footage, but the tape I needed was not at work. My boss accidentally left it at his house. Meeike and I went to the Gardens for our hockey shoot and when we got there the place was packed. I could barely find a place to park. I think I made up a spot in the lot. There were so many people there because it was senior night for St. X hockey. They had a balloon arch for the players to go through and everything. Just ask Teed and Jenster they saw it coming down Langdon Farm. The game started late too because for some reason the zamboni had to come out between the second and third periods in the St. X game. For high school hockey they play all three periods without the zamboni coming onto the ice. I have no idea what that was all about. Since the game was so late I didn't get out of there till 11:30/11:45. I am including this picture of me working since that is all I have been doing lately and feedback from my loyal readers tells me they like the pictures.

I didn't think I would be going out last night since I got off work so late and I didn't know what time CoMo played at The Hut. Ando called after he was finished at Publico and picked me up to head down to The Hut. I saw the end of the CoMo show and managed to enjoy a few refreshing adult beverages with friends before everyone was ready to leave. I was still ready to drink more, but it was 1:30 and everyone else had been there for quite some time. It didn't feel that late to me since I got such a late start to my night.

I hitched a ride with Teed and Jenster home since Ando left a little earlier. He had to get up and go to work for the SPCA in the morning. I left my coat in Ando's car; I didn't feel like carrying it around The Hut. Ando warned me that he would be leaving before me and I may want my coat, but I knew Teed would be there to lend me his. He let me wear it from The Hut to his car, what a nice gesture! Teed wanted some Sliders, but couldn't convince Jenster of any. I also don't eat Sliders, but I did get some french fries. All in all not a bad day, if only I could figure out how to cut out the work part I would be set.

I only saw Ando for 1 hour yesterday, in the car and crowded Hut, how the hell was he supposed to propose to me, no ring.

XU/UD

Another working night. That is all I am working this week. I really wish it was still last week when I worked mostly all days. I did lots of laundry in the morning before work and swept the fresh coat of snow off our sidewalks. I hate having snow on our sidewalks when no one else does. Go figure, something as stupid as that would bother anal Shando.

I went to work and made the new schedule for next week before going on my shoot. How come I always get to go on the wrestling shoots? I don't like seeing sweaty dudes in singlets just because I am a girl. How did Wint ever do this in High School? There were pretty many pins, but the ones that weren't pins took the whole 3 periods. No one had a tech fall to shorten the match. West beat East a whole lot to a little. I bet you are all glad to know a little more about Lakota wrestling. Should I describe the singlets to you?

After work I met Ando and his bro at BW3 in Clifton to watch the Xavier game. I only saw part of the second half since I came from work. This only allowed me time to have one beer, a JensterCastle, or for those who don't know what that means, a New Castle. Xavier beat Dayton, really they killed Dayton which scares me a little. Xavier/Dayton is usually always a close game. Xavier can only get killed by UD when they go up there in February. Xavier has to be peeking too early and are going to make an early exit come Mo's favorite time of year, March Madness. I hope they can carry some of this momentum into the UMass game on Sunday.

Ando bought me a drink and the waitress was impressed, too bad he didn't buy me a ring to really impress her.

Day Off

I am not in the mood to blog today, so I have a feeling this will be another short post. I was off work yesterday. So I was free to do whatever I wanted. I shoveled our sidewalks in the morning. If we don't shovel then the snow will never melt because our yard is so shady.

I then went to my rents at noon to hem my new pants. It would be so much easier if I had sewing machine. While I was at my parents I went out to lunch with my mom, grandpa, uncle and aunt. My mom had every Wednesday off and my aunt usually comes over to help my grandpa out around his house.

I finished hemming the pants, which turned out quite well I might add, and left to take some clothes back to Old Navy and New York & CO. I wasn't in the mood to shop while I was there so I got in and got out. I then had to go back to Meijer for the third day in a row. Maybe I should just take up residence there. I was finally able to pick up my prescription; it was ready and I had my wallet this time. I picked up a few other items while I was there too. And by a few I really did just pick up a few items unlike times past.

Ando and I headed down to Publico for the second last event of the closing. It was a nice pot-luck style banquet with food from local eateries. We did a little taping and some eating. It was a nice night, and I think the one event that actually started on time.

At home was some General Hospital watching, again on Soap Net and a little reading before hitting the hay.

A nice dinner with candles on the table, but no proposal.

Short and Sweet

I feel like my days are all running together, so I hope I get it right what happened yesterday. Once again it was a late day of working. In the morning I finished fixing the small hat I had knit last week. I figured I could try to save all my hard work by knitting two ear flaps to cover my ears. It looks ok, but it almost reminds me of an old school football helmet.

I left a little early for work to go back to Meijer and pick up my prescription. When I got to Meijer I realized I didn't have my wallet. How the hell was I going to pay for it? I think I am losing my mind. I went back home to look for my wallet and found it in the pocket of the coat I wore yesterday. I now had no time to go back to Meijer for my prescription. I headed straight to work.

Work was good, an early shoot with only one basketball game to tape. For dinner we had the Teed/Mo specialty, tacos. It has been a long time since we've had them. After dinner the usual occurred with me downstairs and Ando up. I had to watch yesterday's General Hospital on Soap Net since I missed it during the day. The story line is dragging a little for my liking, but what are you going to do. And then I just read before going to bed. "Life of Pi" is starting to pick up a bit, but still isn't that good and I am a little over 100 pages in. As of right now I do not recommend it.

Pretty boring day, not spiced up with a proposal.

MLK Day

I am going to try to make this a nice short blog today, but I don't think it will happen. Yesterday was MLK day so most people had the day off work, but not me. I was treating yesterday like any other day I have to go to work at night when Ando asked if I wanted to go to lunch with his parents. This would have been fine had I known a little sooner than 5 minutes before we were supposed to be there. I don't usually shower till noon on my late days, so I hadn't showered yet when Ando wanted to know if I wanted to go to lunch. I said sure, but I needed to take a shower first. He told me I didn't have time because we needed to be at McCalister's in 5 minutes and it is 10 minutes away. I gave in and didn't shower just put a headband on and got dressed.

We met Ando's parents for a nice relaxing lunch, which they paid for, and ate our meals. After lunch his parents were going to Home Emporium and wanted to know if we wanted to go. We decided to stop by the library first to get the book I had on hold. We perused the DVD's, but there were no good ones left I am guessing because of the long weekend. I then went to the desk to ask for my hold and got some nasty lady that said I had to find my hold myself. She didn't help me at all. This is a new system for me. Last time I went to the library they had the holds in the back. Luckily another lady was nice enough to help me with the new system and showed me how it worked without me having to ask. Mean old ladies at the library is why I don't go very often. I always feel like I am putting them out or not doing something the exact way they want it done.

After my awful library experience we made our way to the Home Emporium. It was quite an experience as it always is. There were these hats there that reminded us of Hagood and Ice when they went to Cancun. I had to put one on and get a picture, or as Hagood says piture. I hope I look just a goofy as they did, sorry guys. Home Emporium was then followed by Meijer to drop off a prescription and buy some sunglasses, I broke my other ones on Saturday. I dropped off the prescription and they said it would be 20 minutes, which I barely had since I needed to get ready and leave for work. We browsed the sunglasses and the cheapest pair was $25. I was not going to pay that much for a crappy pair of sunglasses. Over to Target it was for a nice $6 pair. After buying my new cheap sunglasses at Target it had been 25 minutes so back to Meijer for my prescription. They told me it wasn't ready and it would be at least 15 more minutes. I didn't have that much time so we had to leave.

Work was work, an MLK Day celebration. At least I get double time for working a holiday. There were no funny paper mache Marting Luther King's this year. It was pretty much all essay's that kids had written about King. I did have a few cookies that were very delicious.

At home Ando decided he needed to work out for some reason. He decided he wanted to do some Tae Bo. I put the disk in for him and watched him struggle with all the coordination it takes. I decided to do a little with him to try and show him how it should be done. It really didn't work that well. I kept laughing and wondering how he has so little athletic ability. He needs some more practice and then maybe he will get better. Sorry babe.

Ando made me laugh, but not cry with a wedding proposal.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

I feel like I am so busy all the time I don't even have time to blog anymore. I am probably blowing this way out of proportion, but I need a day to just relax and sit on the couch. I know it would be boring for all of you, but I would love it. So once again I am trying to fit this post in before I leave for my shoot.

Yesterday started out innocently enough without much happening, but then I decided I wanted to try and finish knitting the hat for my sister. I sat on the couch with the TV low in the background and started a fresh hat that I could give my sister. It took me about three hours to finish it, but finish it I did. My hand didn't even cramp up this time. I guess all I needed to do was more knitting for some quality hand exercises. And don't worry I didn't fuck the hat up this time. It was the perfect size. As I was knitting I kept thinking it was going to be way too big, but I kept on and in the end it was perfect.

After knitting I had to get ready to go to my Great Uncle's 80th birthday dinner. Ando wanted me to go down to Publico to set up a camera with him, but I didn't have time for that. I needed to get ready since I had to try to be a little girly. I even put make-up on!

Dinner was far away in Mason, past Kings Island, at the Houston Inn. Ando described it best for all you west siders out there, Dante's on the north side of town. Basically it is an old people restaurant. It was pretty much everything I expected from the place, food wise and people wise. The best part of the night was sitting near Ando, my sis, my bro and his wife, and one of my cousins. Keep in mind I only have two cousins on this side of my family and one is in Iraq.

When dinner was over cake was served, after singing Happy Birthday of course. I got up to go to the bathroom, in a cave I might add. They need to add another light in their bathroom so you can see what you are doing. When I came back everyone had cake in front of them and I got the piece with three roses made of icing on it. I think they did it on purpose. I hate lots of icing on cake; that is why I usually really hate wedding cake, it is all icing. Needless to say I took all of the flowers off and most of the other icing before enjoying my piece. Presents were opened, and I looked like a cheap skate. I didn't know what to get a man who has everything on his 80th birthday, so lottery tickets in a card it was. Everyone else had this same idea or booze. One gift was 80 lottery tickets, how am I supposed to top that. I can only hope that one of my tickets holds a million dollar prize and I look like the real gift giver in it all. Oh well, it's the thought that counts, or at least that is what I was always told.

After dinner Ando and I headed down to Publico for the "Fade to Black" portion of the gallery closing. It was a bunch of movies by local people and some other bizarre rarely seen movies. Some were not so good and there was more standing around waiting for things to get started. My patients is starting to run thin on waiting around for everything to happen. The final movie was good, called The Beaver Trilogy. It was really funny and starred Sean Penn and Crispin Glover before they were famous.

When that was finished at midnight we headed home for some tea and Amazing Race. I really didn't care who won, but I was rooting a little for TK and Rachel, who pulled it out in the end. I am starting to get sick of these long days, a nice short post about nothing is needed and I think for you just as much for me.

Ando pumped my gas in the cold, only one nice thing can happen in a day, no ring.

Pad Thai

I got up yesterday feeling like crap. I kind of wanted to throw up and definitely didn't want to go to work. I knew I was going to be regretting that wine. I got up about an hour and a half before I had to leave for work so I just tried to sit in front of the TV and feel a bit better. I took an Alka-seltzer and ate a bowl of Cream of Wheat. I was in no mood to eat anything, but knew by noon or 1:00 I would be wishing I had something to eat. So I decided to pack myself a lunch. I was starting to feel a little better when I left for work

I got to work and found out my co-worker Meeike was starting to get sick. I had to sit in a tiny little truck with him for hours; I hope I don't get sick later this week. At around 1:00 I started to get hungry and was glad I had packed that lunch. I also brought a Pepsi with me, but it wasn't in the fridge when I grabbed it from home. I wasn't looking forward to drinking a warm pop, but then a light bulb went off in my head. It was so cold outside why not put the Pepsi out there to get cold. I left it out in the cold for an hour or so and that was plenty of time for a nice cold, refreshing pop. I was almost expecting there to be ice bits floating in it it is was so cold.

When I got home after work I decided to take a nap. I got such crappy sleep the night before I had to take a nap. It was a short one and Murph climbed into bed with me to keep me warm. After rising from my slumber I started cleaning the house a little for company. Ando made fresh bread and Pad Thai from scratch. Nothing came out of a box, well except the noodles I guess, but you know what I mean it was all fresh ingredients and fresh Pad Thai sauce.

After my hot shower, in a bathing suit of course, don't get any bad ideas in your head, I starting making bread pudding for dessert. Everyone showed up and we drank some beers and did some mingling before eating. Dinner was yummy, even though Wint spilled half his Pad Thai on the floor. He was going to eat it off the floor too, but I wouldn't let him. I'll be making fun of him for a couple weeks to come I'm sure.

There was a little Apples to Apples game playing after dinner. About half way through fresh, hot bread pudding was served. Teed won the game and the Polaroid picture taking part of the evening. I think 6 Polaroids were taken and he was in 5 of them. You just have to document someone in pudding pants when you have the chance. The evening was a good time overall with too many good conversations to document in my blog. I guess you just had to be there.

Our friends came over, no proposal to celebrate with them.

A Bottle of Wine

I am blogging even later today than usual. I am also trying to hurry up and fit it in before "people" come over. So if this blog is not up to my normal standards I am sorry.

As I wrote yesterday work was a bit busy. I had a shoot first thing in the morning when I arrived to work. I had to pack up my car with all of the equipment and drive to the community development offices for a teleprompter shoot. I also went out and got some footage of the new "old" Mulhauser Barn. The township is building a new barn with the old timbers from the saved Mulhauser Barn. We are putting together a video of what the barn used to look like into the construction and finished product of the new barn. I got to wear a hard hat and everything. Sorry I didn't take a picture of it, maybe next time I wear it I will remember to get a picture for you all. I look pretty sweet if I do say so myself. My final task of the day was to import the new township graphics into the Decko computer. It has been almost 3 years since we made new graphics for township meetings so we thought we would make new ones for '08.

At home I did some more knitting before Ando and I went to Mo and Teed's house. I finished the hat and messed up, crap. It is a little small so I am starting a new one that will be a little bigger. I am not sure it will be finished on time for Erin to get on Sunday though.

Ando and I then went to Teed and Mo's for some pizza and hole digging. Teed needed help trying to figure out if there was a leak in his basement pipes. He has a huge hole in his basement where a bathroom is going to go in the soon to be completed "finished basement". I brought over a bottle of wine to drink because I wasn't in the mood for beer. I have had way too much beer lately. One thing led to another and before I knew it I had finished a whole bottle of wine myself. I was drunk and ready to go out, but not too far because I had to work the next morning. Teed, Ando and I went to Gaslight. I had a Stella and decided not to finish it because I was still way too drunk from the bottle of wine. Coach only charged us $5 for two Stella's at the end of the night. I went to bed drunk and got horrible drunk sleep. Thank goodness I decided not to finish the Stella. Who knows where I would have been in the morning.

I was wasted, Ando didn't take advantage with a ring.

Knitting

As you can tell I had a busy day at work today, hence why I am blogging so late. I worked another 9 to 5 day yesterday which is really quite amazing. This week has been light on the shoots for some reason; I am not complaining. My day at work consisted mostly of editing and finishing next weeks playback schedule.

I got home at my normal time, sans running, it is way too cold for running right now. When I got home I started making dinner right away. I made curry chicken salad so the sooner it was finished and getting cold in the fridge the better. We didn't have any white wine for the recipe so I improvised with a little chicken stock and dry sherry. We also barely had enough mayo, but don't worry I made it all work in the end. It turned out very well and really hit the spot. I think I was craving curry without even knowing it.

After dinner I had nothing to do. I think this is the first time I have had nothing to do on a weekday night that I wasn't working. I didn't realize there are no good shows on Thursday nights, except The Office. I quite watching Grey's Anatomy some time back so there is really nothing on except for one half hour of humor. I decided to knit while aimlessly watching TV. I had mentioned something about the hat I knit myself last year on Grandma day to my sister and she said that she wanted one too. I started knitting her hat last night and am almost finished so she should be able to have her brand new hat when I see her on Sunday. I hope I don't fuck up and she likes it. I am guessing my next knitting project should be a knitting bag. I need something to put all my knitting supplies in; these plastic meijer bags just aren't doing it for me. I hope the internet has a pattern for me to follow. That internet is so amazing it has everything you could ever want on it.

Since there was nothing on TV and my hand was starting to cramp a little from knitting, I guess I need to do more hand exercises, I went to bed a little early for my nightly reading. I usually only read for about a half hour before bed, but last night I read for almost an hour. I have to finish my current book in a timely fashion too since it is from the library. An hour of reading my become my new habit soon.

Ando is making extra money freelancing, no ring to show for it.

Poetry

I worked 9 to 5 yesterday and learned a little bit more about Final Cut, an editing system. DJ showed Watkins and I how to do some editing and some basics of Final Cut. When Watkins called last week to see when he could come up to watch some editing he asked if I wanted anything and of course I said money. Really who couldn't use more money. He brought me a beer instead, but hey that is better than a poke in the eye with a stick.

After work I went back to Target, like I said I was going to, to pick up some birthday cards. I don't like cards, they are all stupid and you just throw them away after a week. I bought two anyway, one for my uncle, that we are going to a dinner for on Sunday, and one for my mom, whose birthday is February 1st. Since I was at Target I thought I would stop in Meijer to pick a few things up. By now you should all know that I can't just pick up a few things when I go to the grocery. I was at least smart enough to realize this when I first walked in so I grabbed a cart instead of a basket. The overall bill did end up being a little less than I had expected, bonus!

At home I put away my purchases and waited for Ando to come home and see what he wanted for dinner. We made our own pizza with artichoke, turkey-roni, pepperoncini's, garlic & feta. We needed something quick since we had to go down to Publico for a poetry reading. The poetry reading was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was an easy set up and only 10 people read their poems. I think each person had 5 minutes or so and could read as many or as few of their poems as they wanted. We brought our own beer down to enjoy while the readings were going on. Ando also bought a Bud Lite Clamato. Yes, it is Bud Lite with Clam and Tomato juices. Nothing about it sounded appealing to me, but whatever floats his boat. Rando decided to split it with him, but go figure they couldn't finish it. I think they wanted to like it, but just couldn't in the end.

We came home and went our separate ways as usual; I watched Project Runway and Ando played on the internet upstairs. Day over.

I was upset because Xavier lost, no ring to cheer me up.

Grandma Day

I had the day off work yesterday since I have to work on Saturday which meant it was time for another Grandma day. Before Grandma day started I went shopping by myself at Rookwood. I was looking for some new dress pants since the ones I have are too big and a pair of jeans. I hit up Old Navy first and bought a pair of jeans and a pair of dress pants. The dress pants are too long, but I like the way they fit everywhere else. I figured I could just hem them. After Old Navy I went to New York & Company to use my Gift Card from Christmas. There wasn't much in the store that I wanted, but I bought two more pairs of dress pants knowing I would not be keeping all of the pants. I also found a top for $6 that I bought. My last stop before Grandma day began was Target. I was going to look for knee high boots that would hopefully fit around my large calves, but they didn't have any, go figure. I bought another pair of jeans and a silky nightie for bed, both items were on sale. I didn't have enough time to root through the endless birthday cards so I will have to go back to Target later this week.

I went to my Grandma's to meet my sister and pick up my Grandma to go see our movie at 4:00. Every couple of months my sister and I take my Grandma to go see a movie and then we go out to dinner, I call it Grandma day. She wanted to see Charlie Wilson's War which started at 4:25. We finally picked a movie that wasn't over 2 hours this time. The last movie we saw was American Gangster which was well over 2 hours. And yes my grandma picked that movie out as well; she likes Denzel Washington. We thought we were going to be the only ones in the theater, but a few others showed up right before the movie started. I really had no idea what the movie was about so I had no expectations going in. I thought it was pretty good; it could have been better and it could have been worse. But you know me I think most movies I see are just "ok".

After the movie we went to Panera in Hyde Park for dinner. I don't think we had gone there after the movies yet. Usually we go to Friday's, Don Pablo's or the Pub at Rookwood. I ordered some soup since it was so cold outside with my half sandwich. On the way out we all got something from the bakery section. I bought a wild blueberry scone, my sis got a mini lemon poppy seed bunt cake, and my Grandma got a cranberry muffin. They have great cinnamon crunch bagels, if you can even call them bagels, but they were all out.

When I got home after Grandma day I needed a second opinion on all the clothes I bought and called up Jenster to see if she would be so kind as to lend me hers. I went over there with purchases in hand for the second opinion. She agreed with me on pretty much everything, so I am going to take back a bunch of pants and try to hem the dress pants I like that are way too long. I really wish I had a sewing machine so I didn't have to keep going to my parents for all my sewing needs.

Fun day off work, not topped off with a marriage proposal.

Peach

Well it is another day of boringness. I think my life is getting less and less fun. I was going to post about this billboard I pass everyday on my way home from work, on I-75, that reads "Bengals Stuff" in huge letters, but I couldn't find a picture of it on the inter-web. You will have to stay tuned for that one.

I went to work at night again so my morning was free and I did what I always do. Clean and work out. I did do some snow sweeping since there wasn't enough on the ground to shovel. When I finished that I came in and did some Tae Bo. It has been awhile since I last did Tae Bo and because it was so cold I thought I would give it another go. I am a much bigger fan of "old school" Tae Bo than the new one I have. I feel like I don't get as good of a work out on the new DVD.

I went to work at 1:30 as always and did my normal Monday routine at work. I have certain jobs that have to be completed on Monday's so it is hard for me to take that day off. My co-worker, DJ, and I left for our In-Line Hockey shoot at 4:45 for a 6:30 game. While we were setting up I realized I forgot the Life section of the paper that JB leaves for me. I usually take it with me on shoots so I can do the puzzles while waiting for the shoot to start. We finished setting up by 5:30 so I had an hour to kill and really wanted that paper. I called Meeike who was still at the station to see if he would bring me the paper I left with no hopes that he would, but he said yes. What a nice guy; a real peach. I was glad I had the paper because I almost finished all the puzzles when the shoot finally started.

The shoot was short because West scored 10 goals to the other teams 0 at the beginning of the second half which means mercy rule. Or as I like to call it, the bobcat rule. The teams kept playing, but no other goals were recorded and there was a running clock.

Ando made dinner for me when I got home, white chicken chili, and we watched the Amazing Race together. I was happy to see Nate and Jen get eliminated, I am not a big fan of theirs. That is my day, YEAH!

Ando made me dinner, no ring to go with it.

Happy Birthday!

Sunday was a relaxing day as most Sunday's are for me. I didn't get out of bed until almost noon since I went to bed so late the night before. And I had a headache so I was hoping sleeping would help it go away. I realized at noon that wasn't going to be the case. I decided to get up and take and Alka-seltzer and eat some pancakes. I recommend the lemon-lime flavored Alka-seltzer for all your headache and upset stomach needs. I used to not believe in it either, but Ando changed my mind and made me see the light.

At 1:00 it was time for some football. Teed and Mo came over to watch some of the San Diego/Indy game. We had Pepsi's all around. Wild and crazy I know. I kind of wanted Indy to win, but at least it was a good game and not a blow out.

After the game Ando and I went to his parents house for his mom's birthday. We both thought we were having take out ribs from Kenning's, but when we got there his mom had made dinner. I felt bad and thought we should have brought something since it was her birthday. She shouldn't have been making her own birthday dinner. We watched some more football before and after we ate and had some Graeter's ice cream for dessert, yum!

Teed and Ando met up on the west side of town to go to band practice in Indiana while I took the car home. When Teed was driving up I noticed he had a headlight out on the Subaru. I told you headlights going out was making the rounds. When I got home I finished watching the Cowboys/Giants game and just relaxed on the couch till it was time to go to bed.

Exciting football games, but no exciting proposal.

Music

I am starting to run out of ways to start out my posts. I feel like I can't just jump right in, but I guess I will. I woke up early yesterday because I had to go to work and watch sweaty dudes wrestling in singlets. I don't understand what the appeal of wrestling is to these dudes. They almost touch each others "junk" all the time. I am grossed out just watching. Work was really short though because there were so many pins. I wasn't expecting such dominance by West.

I got home from work and Ando went to his parents so I had the run of the house. I called my other boyfriend to come by, but he said he was too busy, damn! Instead I just blogged and updated my flickr page with some new photos. Oh, and watched Sideways because nothing was on TV. When Ando came home we made a frozen pizza for dinner; mushrooms, spinach and garlic. It was quite tasty for a frozen pizza.

It was now time to go to publico. Actually Rando wanted us to be there at 6, but after the night before I was not going to be fooled in getting down there so early. The show didn't start till 9. We arrived at Publico around 8:30 after stopping by Xavier to pick up some gels. After setting up the camera we had plenty of time to kill before the show started. Thank goodness we didn't get down there at 6 like Rando wanted us to.

There were five "bands" playing and the cost to get in was $20. We didn't have to pay of course. I am not really how many people actually did pay. I think everyone who was there was a friend of someone else. Also I am using the term "band" because they were all pretty much one person with some back up on a computer. Most of them were really bad too. I was not impressed with the second act, but as the night went on she seemed better in my mind. By the end of the night I think she was the second best act there.

Ando and I kept trying to convince Teed to come down, but he wouldn't budge. We even offered to pay him plus we would get him in for free. Still no Teed, but Jenster came down after her work party. She brought us some more beers since Ando and I were over drinking the free OTR. You can only have so many OTR's before you need something less heavy. We just hung out and talked about how bad all the "bands" were and that we didn't fit in with our outfits. Jenster decided she shouldn't have showered so she would have fit in more. All in all in was a fun night that wasn't as bad as I had anticipated after the debacle the night before.

We left Publico around 2:30am and I had to drive Ando's car because he we too drunk. He wanted to go to Whitey's, but I wouldn't let him. I made him a breakfast burrito when got home instead. Too bad we didn't have salad and OJ for him to devour. I hear that is a great hangover cure. Then it was bedtime with an alka-seltzer to top the night off.

Arty night at Publico, no arty proposal.

Green Screen

What a day yesterday! It started out like any other day; I didn't have to go to work. I lounged around in the morning and then took some lunch to Ando at his place of business. After seeing Ando for awhile I went to my rents house to drop a few things off. While I was at my rents I found some old pictures of Murph when he was a kitten. My how he has grown into his ears.

After coming home from my parents house I took a short little nap, which I rarely ever do. For some reason I am not a good napper. I just lay in bed constantly thinking of all the things I should be doing. I awoke around 5:30 and started to get ready for my run with Jenster. We had plans to go running around 6:30, when she got off work. She called me when she got home to see if I still wanted to go running, but I really didn't. It was too cold outside for my liking. I usually only go running in the winter when it is above 40 degrees.

So instead of running I went with Ando down to Publico to tape a short interview of an artist for the documentary. We first had to stop by Xavier to pick up all the equipment before heading down. Once we got down to Publico Pablo decided we should shoot the interview behind the stage where they were setting up. This was a tiny little space without much room to work in. We had to put up a portable green screen and at least 4 lights, not to mention a camera, the interviewers, interviewees, audio, etc. There was so much to fit in this tiny little space. Pablo and Rando also wanted to do two different set ups for the interview, which I thought was a bad idea. We all agreed on just the one set up.

We had everything lit and ready to go around 7:45. I was thinking sweet this is good, we will be able to eat dinner and watch a movie with our friends after all. Then Rando said he had to go wake one of the guys up because he was sleeping. Once he was awake we were told 15 minutes. Fine 15 minutes isn't too bad. And mind you by this time it was now 8:15. 15 minutes turned into 30 and still no interview was beginning. We tried to get it moving along, but now the two guys wanted to wait an hour before sitting down for the interview. I said that we couldn't wait that long; a half hour would have to be enough time. Thirty minutes came and went and still no interview taking place. I was really starting to get frustrated.

Finally about 45 minutes later they said they were ready to sit for us. We all try to cram in this tiny room for the interview and one of the guys starts fussing about the setup and green screen. I knew the portable green screen was a bad idea. You have to have the lighting perfect for the green screen to work and that is really hard in such a small space. Needless to say that whole ordeal took another 15 minutes. There will be no more portable green screen shooting while I am around. That is something that has to be done in the controlled environment of a studio. The stage being set up would have made a fine background.

Shooting the interview finally began around 9:45, ugghh! Things started off fine, but then this one guy could not sit still and in frame. I kept having to move the camera and he would still go out of the shot. I was just thinking to myself, if this guy knows so much about video then why can't he sit still and quit moving. I think by the end of the interview he was almost completely off of the green screen background and out of the shot. I didn't really care by this point though. I was just ready for the interview to be over. It came to a close at about 10:40. This was way longer than I wanted to be there. At one point I even thought to myself, I should have gone running with Jenster, it would be better than this.

We tore everything down and got the heck out of there. Don't forget we still hadn't eaten. There are not many eating options at 11:00 either, so it was off to Ando and Teed's favorite pre-band dinner, Taco Hell. We went to the fine new establishment on McMillan. What a terrible set up. When you make a right turn into the driveway it is so sharp most people have to back up because there cars can't make it; three people alone while we were there. Then when you round the corner of the drive-thru after ordering to go pay you end up so far away from the window because of another sharp turn. I could have done a better job setting this Taco Hell up with no experience . Oh, and they didn't have any flat bread left so you couldn't order half the menu. Why do Ando and Teed like this place so much?

After consuming our gourmet dinner, which Ando got down the front of him, we went to Molly Malone's again for a nice quiet drink with Jenster and Teed. Quiet was not the proper term this week though. Last week we were one of the only people in the place and this week we had to struggle to find a place to sit. The police were also arresting someone out front because they started a fight inside the bar right before we got there. Actually while we were finding a place to park. Molly Malone's turned out to be nice, but I only stayed till about 12:30 since I had to get up early for work. What an eventful day that I do not want to have again, but fear I will today since I have to go to Publico again.

Sorry this post is so long, but too much happened yesterday. I hope there will not be a repeat tomorrow.

Crunch wrap supreme, hold the ring.

Boring

Well, it's another day and another boring blog is forthcoming. I didn't go to work till 2pm yesterday which means my morning was free. When I don't work till 2pm I usually work out and tidy up the house. And that is exactly what happened yesterday. I tried to do a light cleaning and lifted weights at home. After working out I showered and ate lunch before going to work.

Work was also uneventful. We shot an East Jazz Band Concert last night. I came to the conclusion that jazz concerts are just a bunch of people playing whatever they want one at a time. I'm not a huge fan. Getting to the shoot was the most eventful part of the evening. People don't know how to drive in the rain in Cincinnati. I don't understand why people get so freaked out over a little bit of rain. I think it took us almost 45 minutes to get to East which normally takes 10 to 15 minutes.

Since the day was so uneventful I thought I would include this picture I took in Central Park. I hope it brings a bit of spring to everyone's rainy winter. Even though winter has not been so bad this year. I can't wait to get back to NYC soon!

Ando said he loved me last night.....no ring to accompany it.

27 Dresses

Well yesterday was a boring day so I am not going to post about it. I thought me changing my headlight would be more of a story than it is. I tried and get pretty far, but in the end couldn't do it. I was just going to take the car to the VW dealership, but they told me it would be $15 and the light only cost me $8. I really didn't feel like paying almost double to put the light in. I complained to Ando instead and he came home at lunch to put my new light in. He figured out what I could not, and fixed my headlight. I paid attention to how he did it so I will be able to change it myself next time. I will not have to rely on a man to fix my problem.

Since that was the only thing worth mentioning I will be blogging about my past bridesmaid days in honor of the movie 27 dresses. I have not been a bridesmaid nearly that many times in fact it has only been 4. I am pretty sure people think it has been more than that, but you are wrong.

My first bridesmaid experience was in 2003 when my oldest brother got married. This is the dress I wore. I nice bright blue strapless number that I would not be able to wear again. Incidentally I have not worn it since that day. I have tried it on though and am happy to report it is now too big for me. Getting this dress altered was a huge pain in the ass. I had to keep going back because getting a strapless dress to fit snug on someone who is so big on top is hard. I will not wear a strapless dress again.

My second wedding was in July of 2004; Deb and Brentano got married. This wedding and dress was not so bad. Deb said that everyone could pick whatever dress they wanted as long as it was black. This is the hot little number I picked out. I think it came from Dillard's and was less than $100. This is my cheapest and most wearable dress I have worn in a wedding. I think I may have even got another wear out of it for a work function. I am not happy with my make-up application for this wedding. The lady that did my make-up just couldn't put down the blush.

Dress number three comes courtesy of my second brother's wedding. I couldn't find a picture of me so this one of my sis will have to do. You get the idea of what it looked like since we have the same body type. That is also the brother whose wedding it was in the picture. I didn't mind this dress too much because I felt like it flattered my body. I liked the halter top and was just happy it wasn't strapless. I have not worn this dress since either.

The fourth and final dress comes from Teed and Mo's wedding in December of 2004. As you can tell I was a busy bridesmaid in 2004. This is when I was my heaviest and so this dress also doesn't fit me any longer. I do like the dress though and would wear it out to a nice function if I needed to and it still fit me. I have always said that if I get married I think I will just use this dress since most people will already have it or can borrow it. Then no one has to spend money buying a new bridesmaid dress. Thanks for picking out a nice dress Mo.

So to all my single friends when you get married be sure to come to me to be in your wedding so I can try getting 27 dresses. I have a long ways to go, but think if I put my mind to it it can be done.

Nothing new to report, you didn't really think there would be a ring already.

Meijer

Yesterday was an uneventful day. I got up and went to work like any other day I work 9-5. While at work I couldn't find a tape with some footage I needed on it. That kind of blew, but I am going to try and work my way around it.

After work I went running with my sis again. I kept thinking it was going to rain, and hoping it would, but alas it didn't. When we got to the park on this dreary not quite as warm day there was a ranger in the booth for park passes. Of course there was, I wasn't prepared for it today. I had to scramble to get my money out, that I luckily had, to buy the '08 pass. When I pulled in the ranger also told me I had a headlight out. I think this must be going around. Ando just changed his headlight about a month or so ago and Jenster changed hers last week. So now it is my turn. Teed told both of them that their headlights were out so I was going to wait for him to tell me too, but then decided to try and change it myself. I have a feeling that is going to make for a good blog tomorrow. Everything I have read says it is hard to change the headlight on a VW, go figure. I think VW makes everything hard on purpose.
OK, back to the run. It wasn't as bad as the day before, but we also ran a mile less since we really didn't feel like going and just went yesterday. Going 3 miles around a 2.5 mile path sucks. It is so demoralizing running past that start/stop line knowing you should be finished, but are adding on to get in an even 3 miles. I almost prefer adding the extra mile through the woods and not passing the start/stop line.

After running I went to Meijer to pick up a new headlight and eggs. That is all we needed, but of course that is not all I bought. There was a huge clearance sale that I had to stop at and look at all the crap. From far away I thought there was nothing good, but of course upon closer inspection I found some stuff worth buying. This included some Christmas decorations and a vase. I needed to get out of the clearance section fast before I picked anything else up. But going to the grocery side didn't really help. I picked up the eggs, but then say yogurt was on sale so I picked some of those up. Then I remembered we needed some shredded, or sprinkle if you are Jenster, cheese. I walked past the meat section and saw chicken on sale so I had to pick some up since we are out. Sorry if that offends any non meat eaters out there. Needless to say I probably should have picked a cart when first walking into the store instead of a basket. My basket was overflowing by the time I made it to the checkout line. Don't worry Teed the line was long and my bananas ripened while I was standing there. They need to open more lines on a weekday after work.

The rest of the night was just eating dinner and watching The Amazing Race from Sunday. Nothing terribly exciting.

I bought a gift for Ando, but he didn't get me anything(i.e. ring)

Dying Cat

Yesterday started off like any other Monday, crappy. I didn't feel like getting up in the morning and going to work, but I did. The only thing that helped was the nice warm weather. Work was pretty boring and uneventful. After work I went running with my sis at Sharon Woods since it was such a nice day. I was ready to buy my 2008 park pass, but there was no one in the booth. I was sure that on such a nice day in January someone would be in the booth to make beaucoup money. I hope next time I go I will have the cash on me to pay for the pass. Running was a little harder than I thought it was going to be. I knew since I hadn't run in 2 to 3 weeks I wasn't going to have an easy time of it, but I was not expecting it to quite that hard. It is amazing what a little time off does to your body.

When I got home after my run I got dressed to go help Ando with the Sean Miller show. This is when the fun begins. Ando called me to see if I could go over to the Mo/Teed house because Mo heard a noise coming from the basement and didn't know what it was. Teed couldn't come home to check it out and Ando was at Xavier, so I went. It's good to know I am third on the list of people to call. I can't decide if that is high or low, so I'll just go with the flow. Back to the story. I called Mo and she said it sounded like a cat dying in her basement and knew it wasn't Lucille or Dio because they were sitting next to her. And yesterday she saw cat prints by the side door going into the basement. There seems to be some creature problems at the Mo/Teed house lately. Who know what will be next; a skunk.

We went into the basement with flashlight in hand. Which I couldn't believe she had. I am pretty sure our big flashlight is in our basement. We looked and looked and couldn't find anything. I was hoping Lucille would lead us to whatever the noise was, but no suck luck. She was more interested in chasing the flashlight around. I think Mo just pulled this stunt to make the blog and it worked. If something is eventually found I will be sure to let you all know. And Ando will come clean up the half rotten cat. I hear he is pretty good at that.

I left Mo/Teed's and headed to Xavier to help with the Sean Miller show. It was grueling work, but I'll do anything for Ando. Really all I did was hit a DSK, down stream key or graphics, button a couple of times and then helped tear down. I don't understand who goes to such events. They are pointless.

I then arrived home and did some house chores, dishwasher, garbage, etc., and watched TV. OSU was getting blown out so I went to bed. I found out I missed nothing of the game by going to bed earlier.

Ando bought me dinner, but there was no ring around a fry.

Nothing

So, I said I was going to do nothing yesterday and boy did I do nothing. I mean nothing. I never got out of my "pudding pants" and didn't take a shower. Teed would have been proud of me. The only thing worth mentioning is that I watched the Xavier game, but only the last part of the first half and second half. This was not by my choice. It was because someone at Fox Sports messed up and scheduled a Cavs game earlier that went into the Xavier broadcast.

Since I have no real interesting "things" to post about my day I thought I would try blogging about random "stuff" in my life. One was making sure I could use "Stuff & Things" in this blog, check. I have recently taken up painting. I enjoy it, but am not sure how good I am. I feel I would do better if I had a place that I could make messy and be free to do what I wanted. Some may call this place a studio. This is my first piece; I hope you enjoy it and if you think it is bad please keep those comments to yourself.

I also took a picture of my kitty, Murphy, recently with Ando's dad's SLR camera. I would like to take up the new hobby of photography, but first I need a nice camera. For some reason I feel at home and more creative when I am taking pictures. Ando says he would buy me a camera if I took a Photography class, so I am considering it. Or maybe I can ask for that when I finish blogging for 1 month. Ando told me he would get me whatever I wanted if I could blog everyday for a month. My initial thought was one million dollars, but I started thinking; if he had a million dollars he probably wouldn't be working. I think the SLR would be a better bet.

I think that is all I have for today. This may be my shortest blog yet!

Relaxing day at home, but no ring to top it off.

2 A.M.

I am starting this post by letting everyone know I was out two nights in a row til 2am. This is quite a feat for me; I haven't done that in months and months. I think I deserve a cookie or something.

In the morning I mad a frittata for breakfast with chorizo, green onion, mushrooms, onions, and cheese. Boy do chorizo and eggs go well together. This wonderful idea for breakfast came from Jenster, she loves her veggies and eggs! Thanks Jenster! Is that too many exclamation points in a row? Oh well. It is my blog and I can do what I want.

I took down Christmas decorations as well and Ando said I was killing Christmas. I was, and it was about time that it happened. The tree has to be gone by Monday otherwise the garbage men/women won't take the tree. I am not a huge fan of Christmas like Ando is, but I still do most of the decorating and undecorating. Is undecorating a word? I like to be festive for the holidays.

Ando and I then went to Rando's house to talk more about the Pulico documentary. Rando asked if we wanted to walk to Publico from his place so we did. It was quite a New York moment, that would be a good name for a movie. Rando lives so close to Publico I don't know why you wouldn't always walk there. By the time you drive around all the one way streets it would take you just as long as walking. More people in this city need to walk and better transit needs to exist. Sorry, that was me getting on my high horse. I think the Publico documentary is going to be fun and let me get out my creative side of shooting that I don't get to do much of at my current job.

Then the five of us, Ando, Jenster, Mo, Teed and of course me, decided to go out to dinner at the new Mexican restaurant downtown, Nada. When we got down there it looked pretty crowded, but we decided to try it and see how long the wait would be. They told us 2 hours so we high tailed it out of there. I think they just tell people 2 hours when they don't want anymore customers for the night. We went across the street to Nicholson's instead. None of us had ever been there so we thought we would give it a try. We knew they would at least have some good beers on tap. We were not wrong in this assessment either. Ando, Jenster, and Teed got the monthly special beer for $3 and a free pint glass. I went with the Kentucky Bourbon Ale, 9% alcohol. The bourbon ale was excellent; I highly recommend it.

More and more food kept coming out for us to eat that we were not prepared for. We got toast, then an appetizer, I had soup and some had salad. Then bread came out for us to eat. And then our meals were there. This is no Asiana thats for sure. Teed wanted a bit more down time, but no such luck. Everyone liked what they ordered and we decided to put Nicholson's on our list of places to go again. I got a Tennents to top the night off before we headed to the next place. You can't go wrong with a Tennents. Oh, and there was some fun in the bathroom as well. They have mouthwash with little cups for you to use. The mouthwash is on the sink and looks like soap so you have to be careful not to make your hands minty fresh. I almost did, as did Jenster, but we stopped in time to notice it was mouthwash. I did use the mouthwash though. It was minty fresh and am pretty sure Scope.

We dropped off Mo and Teed, who were not feeling well and the three of us went out on our own. We landed at Oakley Pub. It was a bit more crowded than I thought it was going to be, but then remembered the football game was on. Most people were there for the game and left when it was over. A Jaguar win! On my way to the bar I received a phone call from our old neighbors, A n P. I had called last weekend and they were just returning my call. It was good to hear from them and catch up a little. Hopefully we will see them sometime soon if we go to NYC. Maybe then I will hold a baby too. If you can still count Li as a baby.

It was a long day and it shows with the long post, sorry. I have a feeling tomorrow's post won't be quite as long. I don't think I am going to do much today. I will have to try to find something else to blog about tomorrow rather than my day. That should be fun for all of you.

Nice night out to dinner, no ring hidden in the dessert.

Hi-jinks

I now have some readers to my blog. Welcome one and all, or should I say "people". I hope you enjoy my blog and all the great info I give you. Maybe someday I will blog about something other than my day, but for now that is what you get.

I had to get up early yesterday to go to the gyno. I am not fond of this yearly ritual, but it must be done. I always feel as though i am the only non pregnant one in the waiting room. This year was a bit better. I only saw one pregnant lady, that I could tell, and one that just had a bambino. I know she just had a baby because a nurse came out to hang a new baby picture on the wall. I do not get this "tradition" of giving your doctor a picture of your baby. They have so many and I am sure don't really look at them or care that much. I am not sure I will do this if I ever have a kid. But I was always told to never say never, so I won't. Oh, and every year when I am done I always ask for a receipt. I need this to get my $20 back from my FSA. And every year they act like I am putting them out and am the only one who ever asks for such a thing. I mean how hard is it to give me a receipt. It is just a copy of what I paid them, not too hard. Maybe they should mark in my chart that I always get a receipt so next year they won't be caught so off guard.

On my way home I got caught in traffic on 74. There was a 7 or 8 car accident and I had to slowly make my way past it. There were no exits for me to get off at. Why is it so hard for "people" to drive? When I got home I took a nap before having to get ready for work. Murphy climbed into bed with me and even got under the covers. It must have been really cold in the house yesterday; I didn't hit the home today button on the thermostat.

Work was great! High school boys basketball. The game even went into overtime for me, YIPEE! It wasn't that bad though since Ando had already told me we weren't going to do anything at night. I came home and Teed was over working on some songs with Ando. I found an Apple spice beer sitting in our kitchen as well. That thing is so gross, but is now a game we all play with each other; taking it to one anothers house. I tried to put it with Teed's stuff so he would have it back at his house, but I failed and it hit the floor and exploded. Not to worry though there is still enough in the bottle to pass back to the next unsuspecting person.

The three of us decided to go to Molly Malone's for a night cap, but then Mo-wheel called. She wanted a frosty and Teed needed to take his "equipment" back to his house. We all decided to go to Wendy's to get Mo her frosty, but which Wendy's? Teed decided to go to Surreal Square instead of Ridge because he hates the Ridge area. More out of the way, but at least we didn't pass the Teed/Mo casa on our way to Wendy's. Mo liked the frosty and we went on to Molly Malone's.

When we got there we sat at the bar and boy did I think this was going to be a mistake right away. The bartender was quite a chatter box. She started talking to us right away and all I wanted to do was talk to my friends. It wasn't as bad as it could have been though. She found a different couple to talk to for most of the night, thank goodness. Somehow we managed to keep the conversation going between us and that included talking about a giant pint of ketsup. Teed was supposed to send me the picture, but that has yet to happen. Hopefully I will be able to show you all the "pint of ketsup" soon. Those were some good hi-jinks.

To top the night off I came home and used the alco-hawk. I wanted to see what my blood alcohol level would be after 2 beers in an hour and a half. My BAL was .04, GTG. What a fun day! How can anyone top that.

See you all tomorrow for another lengthy boring post. I bet you can't wait.

There was some cuddling last night, but no question.

The Jungle

Well, new day....new blog. Yesterday was a great day! I did have to go to work in the morning, but that is expected. I did normal work "things" or "stuff" if you would like. However I did go to the Jungle, Jungle Jim's, during my lunch break. Since Jungle Jim's is so close to my work I have enough time to go during lunch. On this trip I got out of the store with my lowest bill ever. I only spent $35, which I am sure you all know is quite low for the Jungle. I bought some beers for my friends and me of course, as well as some tamarind paste for Pad Thai. Not too much odd purchases this trip.

I then came home and got ready for Ando's fam to come over. At least the fam that is in town. I am now going to give a shout out to my neighbors, J&J. I thought they would appreciate a mention in my blog. They called last night while preparing dinner with a bit of a dilemma. They needed my help with directions to the west side and a phone number that was at their place. I did everything I could to help them; including going next door to retrieve a number. And while I was there I pet a kitty, how could I resist. Crisis averted, let hope.

Then Ando's family came over and brought some good beer, Brooklyn 1, and dessert. What more could you ask for. After the Brooklyn beer was gone we moved on to an Anchor Christmas from 1998 that my boss recently gave me. Ando made some fresh bread too. He wasn't impressed with it, but I thought it was very good as did his family.

To top the night off we listened to a bit of the Xavier game. We were all amazed Xavier was winning by so many. I thought the game was supposed to be close, but no such luck this time. Who would have thought Xavier would score over 100 points two games in a row. Lets just hope my boys can keep the "mo" up and continue to roll. I hope Erin gets free pancakes, and maybe I will tag along.

I finished the night by going to bed a little early since it was so cold and I had to get up early for an appointment. I think I may have even cuddled a little with Ando in bed!

Nothing to tell the parents, still no ring.

Bigg's

Yesterday was a pretty uneventful day. My alarm went off at 7:45 for me to get up and go to work, but I hit snooze instead. The bell rang again at 7:52 and this time I got up to start my daily morning ritual. West at least my morning ritual when I go to work at 9am. Work was fine and not too exciting.

The real fun of the day begins on my way home from work. I now take Union Centre to get to 75 south since they opened another lane and it doesn't take 15 minutes to go 1 mile. Traffic was moving fine until I got just south of 275. Traffic was at a stand still so I decided I was going to get off at Sharonville and take the back roads home. Well I couldn't get over a lane in time to get off at that exit so I had to wait for the next exit, which took me another 10 minutes to go a half mile. Long story short I got off 75 and took Reading Road home.

When I was almost home Ando called me and said he made dinner plans for us. Strange, because I thought we already had dinner plans. I was going to make it for us, but not anymore. We were now going to go out with Rando and Pablo for a quick bite to eat and a meeting to talk about a documentary they wanted us to help out on. This was fine with me, but I was wondering if Ando was still going to go to the store? He was, but now I was coming too. He wanted to go to Bigg's, so I said fine. This was a huge mistake. There is something in that store that makes me go crazy. For some reason I was feeling panicked and just wanted to leave, but knew we had to finish shopping. I think Ando was getting mad at me too, but I couldn't help it. Oh, and we had a bagger for some reason (I do not like this at Bigg's). He was the slowest bagger too. I could have done it much faster myself, so in the end I did. I took over my own bagging in the end. I almost forgot, a manager had to come over to scan the wine and when he came over he flicked off the bagger. I couldn't believe it, right in front of a customer!

We got home and put the groceries away and awaited Rando to pick us up for dinner. And waited, and waited, and waited. We were supposed to eat at 7 or 8. Rando finally arrived at our casa at 9. By this time I was starving, just like Mollo. We ate at Quatman's, very good, and talked about the documentary. I am excited about this project and want to see how it will turn out. I am not sure Ando is excited though.

I guess that is my whole day. Wow, blogging really takes up a lot of room and time. I had no idea my posts would be quite this long. Just wait till you hear what I did today tomorrow!

No Question, No Ring :(

First Post

This is my first post of my first blog. I wanted to write in Comic Sans, but it wouldn't let me, sorry. I guess I will post about my day yesterday since today isn't over yet. Oh, and by the way I am trying to teach myself not to double space after periods, but it is a hard habit to break. Sorry if there are extra spaces after periods sometimes.

Yesterday was a fine day of relaxing and family. I didn't do much in the morning just sat around and watched some outdoor hockey in HD. I normally don't watch much hockey, but it was a neat circumstance with the outdoor rink and it was New Year's day. What else was I going to watch, College Football? I don't think so.

At night Ando and I went to a get together with his family for his grandpa's birthday. For those of you that don't know Ando is my boyfriend. I thought this get together may be a bit depressing, but it wasn't this year. There were no awkward moments of wishing he wasn't alive to burden everyone. We had some good food and good convo with family. I almost had to hold a baby too. It was a close call, but John got to hold her instead.

We then came home and watched the latest Harry Potter and went to bed. What a fun and exciting day that I am sure you all wanted to know about. I have a feeling my blogs to come will not be this detail oriented, but hey this is the first and you only have a first once right?

And at the end of every post I will be sure to inform you if Ando has popped the question after 9 long years of dating. I am guessing this will take quite a few posts before that happens, maybe someone could start a pool about it.

He didn't ask, go figure.
